Walkers can choose 2.5 km, 5 km or 10 km laps around Canterbury Agricultural Park in Hillmorton, Christchurch. Dogs register free but must be paired with a registered human; the event is timed, adds dog obstacles, and offers on site and v..
Walkers can choose 21 km, 16 km, 12 km or 5 km courses around Lake Tekapo, on well marked, well supported trails amid turquoise lake views, snow capped mountains and the International Dark Sky Reserve. A Kids Dash is also offered.
October 2026
Walkers can choose 5 km, 10 km or 21 km trail options in Kaikōura on routes around the peninsula and towards Mt Fyffe.
The Pyramid Run includes an off road 21km walk in Twizel as part of the Hard Labour Weekend. On site registration is available and the walk runs alongside the weekend races with prizegiving in Twizel.
Walkers can choose the 10 km loop from Staveley Store or the shorter 5 km from Staveley Ice Rink. Both use tracks through beech forest with hill climbs and Canterbury Plains views; the 5 km start is by shuttle.

Walkers can choose 21 km, 10 km or 5 km, starting at Canterbury A&P Park on fast flat Southern Motorway pathways with no vehicles and drink stations at approx 4, 9, 12 and 17 km.
