Colour Zone Run : Christchurch
Colour Zone Run is a non-competitive festival run set for 22 November 2026 on Ardrossan Street in the Avondale Red Zone, Christchurch. The event is organised as a 5 km run, walk or crawl and features multiple Colour Zones along the course where coloured powder will be thrown, blasted and dispersed onto participants.
The route starts and finishes on the old Ardrossan Street in the Red Zone area off Avondale Road and passes beside the Avon River through an open park and garden-like setting with tree cover. Organisers run the event in waves and provide briefings ahead of each wave. Participants are advised to wear white or black clothing if they wish, and additional coloured powder is available for purchase on site.
The event includes on-site pack pickup at the headquarters before the activity. Fundraising pages are associated with the event for Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand Trust (goal NZ$500, raised NZ$0) and Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust (goal NZ$500, raised NZ$26.50).
