Pawsome Run - Christchurch
Pawsome Run takes place on 6 September 2026 at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Curletts Road, Hillmorton, Christchurch, New Zealand. The event is dog friendly and includes options for participants to run or walk around the park.
Distances offered include:
- 2.5 km Run/Walk - one lap around the park
- 5 km Run/Walk - two laps around the park
- 10 km Run/Walk - four laps around the park
Every human finisher receives a medal and every dog finisher receives a dog tag. Dogs may register for free, but every dog must be accompanied by at least one registered human; all humans must be registered. The event will include timed results and a selection of obstacles on course for dogs and handlers. A virtual entry option is available that includes mailing of the medal and dog tag.
On-site event pack pickup and late registration are available on the day if space allows. The event includes a prizegiving and spot prizes. Fundraising is part of the event, with support listed for local charities including Ronald McDonald House Charities NZ Trust and Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust.
