The 10K race calendar for the United States: 4761 races in 2026 and 2027, with dates, start locations and registration links. The 10K, 6.2 miles on the road, sits between the neighborhood 5K and the half marathon: long enough to reward a few weeks of real training, short enough to race hard on a Saturday morning and be home for lunch. Spring and fall are the busiest stretches, and the Fourth of July belongs to the 10K as much as to the fireworks. What is in this calendar
Every race listed here has a 10K on the program, usually on the road, sometimes on a trail loop or a cross-country course in a park. Many events pair the 10K with a 5K, a half marathon or a kids' run, and the race page shows the whole schedule with start times, the start location and a link to registration. Each state page lists its 10Ks in date order, and the bigger states can be narrowed down by city. If the pickings look thin where you live, the distance slider at the top of the page widens the selection to 5-milers, 12Ks and 15Ks. Most 10Ks are chip-timed, and a USATF-certified course is the one to pick if you are chasing a personal record or an age-group award.
Well-known 10Ks
A handful of races have turned the 10K into a tradition. The Peachtree Road Race fills Atlanta's Peachtree Street every Fourth of July and is the largest 10K in the world. The Bolder Boulder owns Memorial Day in Colorado, finishing inside Folsom Field on the University of Colorado campus. The Crescent City Classic takes over New Orleans on the Saturday before Easter, and the Cooper River Bridge Run carries a field of nearly 40,000 from Mount Pleasant across the bridge into downtown Charleston, South Carolina, in early spring. In August, the TD Beach to Beacon 10K in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, brings a professional field to the coast. Several of these fill months in advance, so check the race page early.
