Both courses are single loop routes on technical singletrack with many rocks and roots, steep climbs and descents, and one short scramble. The half marathon has about 2,200 feet of cumulative elevation gain, including roughly 1,000 feet in the first four miles; the 10K has about 1,200 feet of gain. There is a five hour finish cutoff for both events; the half marathon includes two on-course cutoffs with minimum pace requirements.
Aid stations: the half marathon has two aid stations roughly at mile 4.7 and mile 9.5 offering water, electrolyte drink, fruit, bars, and packaged items including some gluten free options. The 10K uses a short out and back to access the Johnsontown Road aid station. Each aid station carries a first aid kit and Squatch HQ has an AED.
Logistics: start and finish are at Powerhouse Park in Tuxedo with a $3 commuter lot parking fee. The event is capped at 175 participants. Required gear lists are specified for each distance and include a charged phone, hydration, whistle, and GPX course map.
