Atlantic City Marathon event information
The Atlantic City Marathon is a recurring race weekend held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Established in 1958, it is described as the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. The event for 2026 is scheduled for October 17 and 18.
The marathon course is noted as fast and flat and includes eight miles of oceanfront Boardwalk running. All race courses start and finish at Michigan Avenue on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in front of Bally's Atlantic City. A pace team is provided and full and half marathon runners will run with the same pacer.
The event is a USATF certified Boston Qualifier and serves as an RRCA State of New Jersey Championship Event. It is also listed as an Abbot World Major Age Group Championship Qualifier. Race weekend recognition includes Race Raves Runners Choice awards in 2024 and 2025.

Expo and packet pickup take place at Bally's Treymore Ballroom. Bag check is located on the Boardwalk in front of Bally's and accepts one bag per runner; loose clothing and suitcases are not accepted. Overall and age group awards are given to top finishers and the event publishes prize money for top places in each distance.
