Atlantic City Marathon Race Weekend
The Atlantic City Marathon, established in 1958, is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. Taking place in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the event features a course known for being flat and fast. The route includes eight miles of running on the oceanfront Boardwalk. This race is a USATF Certified Boston Qualifier, an RRCA State of New Jersey Championship Event, and an Abbot World Major Age Group Championship Qualifier.
Participants can choose from several race distances held over the event weekend:
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
All courses begin and end at Michigan Avenue on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, located in front of Bally's Atlantic City. The event provides a pace team for participants in both the full and half marathon distances. Runners have access to a bag check service on the Boardwalk and a finish area courtyard for award ceremonies.
The race weekend includes an expo and packet pickup held at the Bally's Treymore Ballroom on the Friday and Saturday preceding the main events. Monetary prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in all four distances. Additionally, age group awards are presented to the top three finishers in ten-year increments, ranging from 14 and under to 80 and over.
