"LOOP THE LAKE" The Great New York State Marathon Weekend
The event is a multi-race weekend in October 2026 in Syracuse, New York. All races start and finish at the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview, 490 Restoration Way, Syracuse, NY 13209. Courses run around Onondaga Lake on a tree-lined route. The full marathon is two loops of the half marathon. All courses are certified and the marathon is a Boston qualifier (NY21056DNB).

An Excelsior Challenge awards an additional medal when a participant completes one Saturday race and one Sunday race (5K or 10K plus half or full marathon). Packet pickup is available across three days: Friday at Dewitt Fleet Feet (5800 Bridge Street, East Syracuse) and on race weekend Saturday and Sunday at the Empower FCU Amphitheater. Course maps are provided and the full/half marathon map notes the full is two half-marathon loops. Volunteers are listed for multiple roles; volunteers receive a race shirt.
