November 2026
The Turkey Trotter offers a 4K walk at Wendell Moore Park on a course mixing pavement, grass and dirt trails through the woods and paved trail. Packet pick up is at the John W. Black Community Center and participants receive a finish medal, race..
Walkers follow 3.1 Miles through hilly Copperfield, starting at 406 Wickfield Dr, Louisville KY 40245. Event includes light breakfast, Dri Fit shirt, finishers medal and a purple mile honoring those with Alzheimer’s.
Walkers can join an untimed 5K at Waterfront Park on the Great Lawn South in Louisville, KY, alongside the running races. Extended online registration is available for the 5K Walk.
Walkers can choose 5 Miles, 5K, or 1.25 Miles routes starting at Iroquois Park in Louisville. Routes use park roads and a pedestrian path around the golf course; pets are allowed leashed and must start behind runners.
December 2026
Walkers follow the 4 km Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park, starting at Hogan's Fountain (Stegner Pavilion) on park roads and trails. Parking is very limited so carpool or park elsewhere on the loop and walk. A virtual 4k option is available.
May 2027
The 5K walk starts on Park View Ave and finishes at the Mount Washington Sports Complex, mostly on relatively flat roads with a loop on the park walking path. It is stroller friendly and walkers start behind competitive racers.
