Kicking Butt 5K Run/Walk - Waterfront Park, Louisville
The Kicking Butt 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Waterfront Park at the Big Four Bridge in Louisville, KY. The event offers multiple participation options and on-site race features.

The 5K course is configured as a long rectangle on the grounds of Waterfront Park. The route is entirely on paved surfaces and measures approximately 3.1 miles with three water stops. The start and finish share the same location near the Big Four Bridge along the Ohio River. Course guidance includes a lead bike escort and arrow yard signs at turns.
Race features include commemorative race shirts, a best-dressed dog award, free race photos, chip timing provided by RaceRise, team competition, overall and age group awards, and prizes for top fundraising teams. A free Kid's Dash is offered; children who run it receive participation medals but the dash is not chip timed and has no awards. Children joining the 1 Mile walk or the 5K will not receive a bib, shirt, or chip timing.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race in front of the Prevention Project office at 1640 Lyndon Farm Ct #108, Louisville, KY 40223, with additional race morning pickup at Waterfront Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
