Kicking Butt 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place on August 29, 2026 at Waterfront Park at the Big Four Bridge in Louisville, KY. It includes in-person and virtual options and supports colon cancer awareness and survivor support.

- 3.1 Miles Virtual Runner/Walker
The 5K is chip timed on paved park trails and includes overall and age group awards. Walkers, strollers, and dogs on fixed length leashes are welcomed in the 5K. The 1 Mile Walk is untimed and has no awards. The Kid's Dash is a free, untimed quarter mile for children ages 9 and under; participating children receive a participation medal but no shirts, bibs, or awards. The virtual option allows participants to complete the distance in their own location; race packets and shirts can be mailed for an additional fee or picked up locally.
Registration opens May 4, 2026. In-person registration for most events closes June 30, 2026; virtual registration and kid registration have different closing dates. Fees vary by event. Event features include commemorative race shirts, family friendly games, a best dressed superhero dog award called "Daisy", free race photos, chip timing by a timing company, teams, and prizes for top fundraising teams.
