Event Overview
The Louisville Honor Earned, Remembrance Owed (H.E.R.O.) Run/Walk/Ruck returns for its sixth year. This event takes place at the University of Louisville Cardinal Track Stadium and serves as a tribute to those who died in battle and those affected by the psychological impacts of military service. The event supports Veteran-driven charities, including the University of Louisville's Salute to Service Scholarship Fund and Volunteers of America Mid-States.
Course Information
The race begins at the Cardinal Track Stadium located at 2125 South Floyd Street. The route guides participants through the University of Louisville campus before returning to finish directly on the track. For those participating in the 10 km distance, the course consists of two laps of the 5 km route.

Participants can choose from several options:
- 10 km Run/Ruck
- 5 km Run/Walk/Ruck
- 100 m Kids Fun Run (for ages 8 and under)
- 5 km Virtual Run/Walk/Ruck
Participation Details
All finishers in the 5 km and 10 km categories receive a custom medal. Recognition is provided for the top male and female finishers in both the civilian and Veteran categories for the timed distances. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day prior to the event at Mission BBQ on Shelbyville Road, with a secondary pickup window available at the stadium on the morning of the race.
