Event overview
The 5th Annual Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Louisville, KY. The event honors those who died in battle and those lost to psychological wounds of war. Proceeds will benefit Volunteers of America Mid-States and the University of Louisville Salute to Service Scholarship Fund. Early bird pricing through December 31, 2025 is listed as $20 for military/veterans and $25 for civilians; after January 1, 2026 prices are listed as $25 for military/veterans and $30 for civilians. Individual event prices in the listing show $25 for the 5K and 10K, $0 for the kids run, and $30 for the virtual event.
Course, awards and logistics
The course leaves the track stadium, routes around the University of Louisville campus, and finishes on the track. A course map is provided for the 5K; the 10K follows the 5K route twice. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a custom medal. Additional awards are given to top civilian and Veteran male and female finishers for both distances. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026 at Mission BBQ, 4607 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40207, and race day pickup/registration is at Cardinal Track Stadium.
