Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck
The Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck honors those who died in battle and those lost to the psychological wounds of war. The event is scheduled for May 30, 2026 at the University of Louisville Cardinal Track Stadium, 2125 South Floyd Street, Louisville, KY. Proceeds benefit Volunteers of America Mid-States and the University of Louisville Salute to Service Scholarship Fund.
The on-campus route departs from the track and field stadium, circles the University of Louisville campus, and finishes on the track. The event is described as family friendly and includes an in-person and a virtual option.

Registration pricing noted in the event materials lists early bird rates through December 31, 2025 and higher rates after January 1, 2026. The virtual entry fee is listed separately. Kids 8 and under may enter the free 100-meter fun run.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026 at Mission BBQ, 4607 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY, and on race day at Cardinal Track Stadium. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Additional awards are given to top civilian and Veteran male and female finishers for both distances. Ten kilometer runners complete the 5K course twice. Race ambassador details describe a refunded registration for participants who recruit five registered friends; specifics are provided in the event confirmation.
