Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck
The Louisville H.E.R.O. Run/Walk/Ruck is a community event held on Saturday, June 5, 2027 at the University of Louisville Cardinal Track Stadium, 2125 South Floyd Street, Louisville, KY. The in-person route leaves the track and field stadium, loops around the University of Louisville campus, and finishes on the track. A virtual-only option is also offered.
Distances include:
- 3.1 miles for the H.E.R.O. 5K Run/Walk/Ruck
- 6.2 miles for the H.E.R.O. 10K Run/Ruck
- 100 meters for the H.E.R.O. Kids 8 and Under fun run
- 3.1 miles for the H.E.R.O. virtual Run/Walk/Ruck
Proceeds benefit Volunteers of America Mid-States and the University of Louisville Salute to Service Scholarship Fund. Early bird pricing is available through December 31, 2026 at $20 for military and veterans and $25 for civilians. Listed event fees include $25 for the in-person 5K and 10K, $0 for the kids 100-meter fun run, and $30 for the virtual 3.1-mile.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, June 4, 2027 at Mission BBQ, 4607 Shelbyville Road, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with race day packet pickup and registration at Cardinal Track Stadium from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Additional awards are given to top civilian and Veteran male and female finishers in both distances.
