Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival 5k 2026
The Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival 5k is a community road race held in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, at 10416 Watterson Trail during the Gaslight Festival weekend on September 12, 2026. The event offers an in-person 5k and a virtual 5k option that can be completed at a location chosen by the participant. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards. Wheelchair participants are explicitly included in the registration.
Race logistics note that over 750 runners start and finish at the Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce. All finishers receive a finisher medal and a long sleeve cotton blend race shirt. Awards include cash prizes for the top three male and female overall finishers, and Ken Combs Running Store gift certificates for top overall places. Medals and gift certificates are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups ranging from 9 and under through 80 and over.
Packet pickup is available before race day at Clean Eatz, 9545 Taylorsville Road, Jeffersontown, and on race day at Jeffersontown City Hall. The event is pet free so dogs are not allowed in the race. A Family of Four registration option is available and requires creating a team; this option reduces the combined registration fee by ten dollars. The race is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series, where completing six series races earns a Run the 502 finisher medal with charms.
