Frostbite 5k Run/Walk 2027
Frostbite 5k Run/Walk takes place on January 9, 2027, at Scenic Loop in Louisville, Kentucky, with the start and finish located near the Rugby Field in Cherokee Park. The event is organized as part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and serves as the second leg of the Polar Bear Grand Prix, a three race series held in December, January and February.

- Virtual 5k
- Virtual 5k with packet mailing
Entry includes a long sleeve quarter zip tech shirt (subject to change), a finisher medal, free race photography, age group awards, and overall awards for Overall, Masters and Grand Masters. The Polar Bear Grand Prix offers a finisher medal for each race that connects with the other races in the series. The first 300 entrants in the series receive an additional race goodie.
A Team Challenge is offered for teams of three to five in Male, Female, or Coed divisions. Teams score the fastest three members and Coed teams must include at least one woman. The event lists Olmsted Parks Conservancy as its charity partner and notes fundraising options including a benefit where raising $150 or more waives registration.
