Frostbite 5k Run/Walk 2027
Frostbite 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for January 9, 2027 in Louisville, Kentucky, with a venue on the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park (2949 Scenic Loop). The event is organized as part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and serves as the second leg of the Polar Bear Grand Prix winter series.

Entry for the event includes a long sleeve 1/4 zip tech shirt (subject to change), a finisher medal, free race photography, age group awards, overall and masters awards, and team competition. Each Polar Bear Grand Prix race has its own finisher medal; completing all three races yields a combined Polar Bear Grand Prix finisher medal.
The Polar Bear Grand Prix Team Challenge is open to teams of three to five people in Male, Female, or Coed divisions. Team scoring uses the fastest three finishers on each team; Coed teams must include at least one woman. There is no additional fee to join the team challenge.
The event names the Olmsted Parks Conservancy as its charity partner and offers fundraising options; participants who raise $150 or more may have their registration fee waived. Pre-race packet pickup is listed for Friday, January 8 (time TBD), with additional packet pickup on race day at the Rugby Field on the Scenic Loop.
