5k runs around the South West: 126 5K races in 2026 and 2027, from Bristol and Bath to Cornwall, with dates, venues and entry links. A South West 5K might finish by Bristol's harbourside, on Plymouth Hoe or on a Cornish beach, and the region has all three kinds in quantity. Bristol and Bath host timed 5Ks in their parks and on the Downs, Bournemouth, Weymouth and Torbay put on seafront races through the summer, and Exeter's riverside makes for a quick evening course. Race for Life reaches most of the region's cities between May and July, and Run Bournemouth in October puts its 5K on the Saturday evening, head torches on, along the lit promenade.

Hills are never far away, and even the road 5Ks in Bath, Cheltenham and the Cornish towns tend to climb somewhere. Trail 5Ks on Dartmoor, Exmoor and the coast path are slow on the watch and worth it for the views, and the village fun runs of Somerset and Gloucestershire are family affairs with a low minimum age and a cake stall. December brings Santa runs to the seafronts, and the summer evening series in Bristol keep the weekday diary full.
