Event details
Haldon Night is a winter night trail event scheduled for 17 January 2026 at Haldon Forest Park, Bullers Hill, Kennford, EX6 7XR. The programme includes single-loop courses for the main races and separate children’s races. Routes are marked with reflective poles and larger A4 arrows (orange on white) fitted with 50 mm orange reflective tape. Head torches or chest torches are required. There is parking on site; parking fees apply. A 10K canicross race is included alongside the running events.
Race distances and entry rules
- 10K (one lap) - minimum age 15 on day of event
- 10K Canicross (one lap) - minimum age 16 on day of event
- 5K (one lap) - minimum age 12 on day of event, or age 8+ if accompanied by an adult
- 2K (two laps) - children aged 8-11 on day of event
- 1K (one lap) - children aged 3-7 on day of event
Facilities and awards
Race entry includes RFID chip timing, fully marked and marshalled courses, water and feed stations, trained medics, public liability insurance, event caterers and toilets. All finishers receive a medal. There are prizes for overall and category winners, a team prize, a hat competition, free event photos, and food and drink available for finishers.
