About the race
Bell Challenge Day 1 2027 is an 8 hour timed road event held on Friday 31 December 2027 at Capel Lane, Exmouth. The course runs along a scenic, disused train line and is an accurately measured tarmac route classified as Road. Each lap is an out-and-back of 5.3k and the route is mainly flat with a few rises.
The organiser runs a TUGG system, Turn Up Get Going, which allows participants to arrive within the event window and complete as many laps as they can before the event cut-off time. Runners and walkers of all abilities may take part; anyone who completes at least one lap within the permitted time is recorded as a finisher and may collect the event medal. Participants can complete multiple laps within the allowed period.
Entry is limited to a maximum of 100 participants and the minimum age is 18 years. Entries close on 30/12/2027. Entry categories include affiliated and unattached options, with lower cost options listed as no perks which omit the medal or other goodies.
