Event details

This is a timed running event organised by Running Events Devon on Friday 1 January 2027 in Exmouth. The event is a 7 hour timed challenge with a maximum of 100 entrants. Minimum age to enter is 18 years. Entries open 28/12/2025 and entries close 26/12/2026. The organiser also offers related events on 28, 29, 30 and 31 December 2026 and on 2 and 3 January 2027, with options for multi-day challenges (4 in 4 days, 5 in 5 days, 7 in 7 days).

Course and format

The course uses an out-and-back lap along an old disused train line on Capel Lane, Exmouth. It is accurately measured and classified as Road, and it is run entirely on tarmac. The route is mainly flat with a few rises. Participants have up to 7 hours to reach the finish of their final lap. Finishers who complete any number of laps within the permitted time are classed as finishers and may collect a medal.
