Exeter Santa Run
The Exeter Santa Run is an annual festive event organized by the Exeter City Community Trust. This community event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, who are encouraged to complete the course while wearing holiday attire. The event is held in an urban and city environment and is described as having a flat course profile.
Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 5 km
- 2.5 km Family Fun Run
The 2.5 km option is specifically designed for families to participate together. While the event maintains a festive atmosphere, it is not a timed competition, and there is no requirement for participants to submit their results.
Registration is open to everyone, whether they choose to run, jog, or walk. A limited number of Santa suits are available for purchase during the booking process. Although festive dress is not mandatory, participants are encouraged to dress creatively, including decorating pushchairs or bringing leashed dogs in holiday outfits.
Participants may enter through a standard booking or by securing a charity place. Those choosing the charity option commit to a minimum fundraising pledge to support community activities or specific charity partners, such as the Exeter Leukaemia Fund and Children's Hospice South West. Runners supporting the Exeter City Community Trust receive a technical running top, a fundraising pack, and access to training materials.
