July 2026
Participants walk 5k or 10k from 2115 Hermitage Rd NW, Edmonton (Site #1) on a community fundraising course held alongside the running races. Package pickup is July 16 and 17, 4:00–7:00 PM at The Running Room, 8537 109 St NW.
Walkers can choose the 5K or 10K Hope Run Walk starting at Range Road 32 in Mountain View County AB. Registration includes an event t shirt, medal and a post race dinner and social, and the weekend allows trailers or motorhomes.
Walkers can choose 1 km, 3 km, 7.4 km or 11.7 km routes starting at Varsity Village Park, on singletrack trails with rolling hills, steep climbs and Bow River valley and skyline views.
Walks take place at Gold Bar Park on hard pack and technical singletrack by the North Saskatchewan River; distances 6.4 km, 12.9 km and kids 1 km, 3 km, aid station and washrooms, cup free.
The event offers 21 km and 10 km trail walks starting at 11904 Emily Murphy Park Road Northwest, Edmonton, along scenic park trails. Registration includes a chipped bib, Coolnet UV half buff, bag check, photo finish and a post event meal.
August 2026
The event offers 5K and 10K walking routes starting at Kinsmen Park Picnic Site 1 near 9100 Walterdale Hill in Edmonton. Routes are updated for 2026 due to construction and include adult and kids walk options alongside the running races.
Walkers can choose the 5 km walk or the 1.2 km kids course through Edmonton's North Saskatchewan River valley on mostly packed dirt, gravel and asphalt paths, starting at Race HQ.
Walkers: 1 km, 3 km, 7.8 km, 13.6 km from Chickakoo parking on wooded singletrack with hills; water at start and aid stations, cup free.
Offers 3 km and 5 km run/walk routes on scenic paths including Picture Butte's Walk on the Wild Side and a new trail. Walkers finish by the family dance with live music and beer gardens; event is capped at 150 participants.
