Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run - Bowness Park
The event is scheduled for November 29, 2026 at Bowness Park, 8900 48 Ave NW, Calgary, AB. It is a festive walk/run on a 3.2 km route where participants carry a stocking and collect small items along the course.
The event is not timed. Finishers receive a medal that can be used as a tree ornament, a large gourmet apple fritter from Doughnut Party, and hot chocolate. A post-event atmosphere includes music and an announcer.
This is an all ages event. Anyone aged 3 and older on course must be registered. Children under 2 do not require registration but will not receive a stocking, stocking items, or post-event food. Children under 12 must remain within an arm's length of a parent or guardian at all times.
Dogs are welcome but should be kept on a short leash on narrow sections of the path and handlers should be mindful of nearby children. Package pickup options are listed for November 28 at Plintz Real Estate and November 30 at Bowness Park picnic site 3.
The organizer partners with the Calgary Food Bank and asks participants to bring one or more non-perishable items for donation. The registration policy states there are no refunds, transfers to another racer are available for a fee, and registrations may be rolled over to 2027 for a fee if done before November 1, 2026.
