Event details
The Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run takes place on November 29, 2026 at Bowness Park, 8900 48 Ave NW, Calgary, AB. The route is a 3.2 km course where participants collect items along the way and stop at a hot chocolate aid station. The event is not timed.
What participants receive
Participants receive a stocking, a race bib, stocking stuffers along the route and a finisher's medal that can be used as a Christmas ornament. All finishers are offered a donut from Doughnut Party and hot drinks. A post-event area includes music and an announcer.
Registration, rules and logistics
The event is open to all ages; anyone aged 3 and older on course must be registered. Children under 2 do not need registration but will not receive a stocking, stocking items, or post-event food. Children under 12 must remain within an arm's length of a parent or guardian at all times. Dogs are permitted but should be on a short leash on narrow sections of the route and handlers should be mindful of children. Package pickup is available on November 28 (Plintz Real Estate) and November 30 (Bowness Park, picnic site 3). Registration fees vary by age group and by registration period. There are no refunds; registrants may roll over to 2027 for a fee of $25 before November 1, 2026 or transfer their entry to another participant for a fee of $10. After November 1, rollovers are not permitted; transfers remain available for $10.
Community partner
The event partners with the Calgary Food Bank and asks participants to bring one or more non-perishable items for donation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
