Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run
The Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run takes place on November 29, 2026 at Bowness Park, 8900 48 Ave NW, Calgary, AB. The event features a 3.2 km route where participants carry a stocking and collect items along the course to fill it.
The event is not timed. At the finish participants receive a stocking, stocking stuffers collected along the way, a finisher's medal that can be converted into a tree ornament, an apple fritter from Doughnut Party and hot chocolate. The post-event area includes music and an announcer.
This is an all-ages event. Anyone aged 3 and older on course must be registered. Children under age 2 do not require registration but will not receive a stocking, stocking items or post-event food. Children under 12 must remain within an arm's length of a parent or guardian at all times.
Dogs are welcome but should be kept on a short leash on narrow sections of the route; participants are asked to be mindful of children and others who may be uncomfortable around dogs.
The event partners with the Calgary Food Bank and asks participants to bring one or more non-perishable items such as pasta, rice, canned vegetables, peanut butter, diapers or hygiene products. There are no refunds; registrations may be rolled over to 2027 for a $25 fee before November 1, 2026, or transferred to another racer for a $10 fee.
