Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run at Bowness Park
The event takes place on November 29, 2026 at Bowness Park, 8900 48 Ave NW, Calgary, AB. It is a festive walk/run over a 3.2 km route during which participants carry a stocking and collect small items along the course. The event is not timed.
Participants receive a stocking, stocking stuffers along the route, and a finisher's medal that can double as a tree ornament. Post-event provisions include a large apple fritter from Doughnut Party, hot chocolate, and an atmosphere with music and an announcer.
Registration and age rules: the event is open to all ages. Registration is required for anyone aged 3 and older. Children under age 2 do not require registration but will not receive a stocking, stocking items, or post-event food/snacks. Children under 12 must remain within an arm's length of a parent or guardian at all times.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a short leash for a section of the route that uses a narrow pathway with traffic in both directions. Participants are asked to be mindful of children who may be present.
Packet pick up is available on November 28 and November 30 at locations around Bowness Park and Plintz Real Estate.
Community support: the event partners with the Calgary Food Bank and asks participants to bring one or more non-perishable items, for example pasta, rice, canned vegetables, baby supplies, or hygiene products.
Policy summary: there are no refunds. Registrations may be rolled over to 2027 for a fee of $25 if done before November 1, 2026, or transferred to another participant for a fee of $10. After November 1, rollovers are not accepted; transfers remain available for a $10 fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
