About the race
The Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run takes place on November 29, 2026, at Bowness Park in Calgary (8900 48 Ave NW). The event follows a 3.2 km route through park pathways where participants collect items to fill a provided stocking as they go.
Participants receive a stocking, stocking stuffers along the route, a finisher's medal that can be used as a tree ornament, an apple fritter from Doughnut Party, and hot chocolate. The finish area includes a post-event atmosphere with music and an announcer. The event is not timed.
This is an all-ages event. Anyone aged 3 and older on the course must be registered; children under 2 do not need registration but will not receive a stocking, stocking items, or post-event food. All children under 12 must remain within one arm's length of a parent or guardian. Dogs are permitted but should be on a short leash on narrow sections of the route and handlers should be mindful of nearby children.
Package pickup is available at two locations: Plintz Real Estate and Bowness Park (picnic site 3). No refunds are offered; entrants may roll over registration to 2027 for a fee of $25 if done before November 1, 2026, or transfer an entry to another participant for a $10 fee. After November 1, rollovers are not allowed; transfers remain available for $10.
The Calgary Food Bank will be on site collecting donations and requests that participants bring one or more nonperishable items from categories such as grains, canned goods, proteins, baby items, hygiene supplies, birthday party items, or pet food. The food bank cannot accept dented cans, open packages, perishable items, candy or pop, homemade food, or out of date items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
