Event overview
The Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run is a holiday-themed 3.2 km walk/run on Sunday, November 29, 2026, at Bowness Park, 8900 48 Ave NW, Calgary, AB. The route includes stations where participants collect items to fill a provided stocking and a hot chocolate aid station. The event is not timed. Every finisher receives a medal that can be used as a Christmas ornament, a donut from Doughnut Party, and hot drinks. A post-event area includes music and an announcer.
Entry, rules and services
The event welcomes all ages. Anyone aged 3 and older on course must be registered; children under age 2 do not need to register but will not receive a stocking, stocking items, or post-event food. Children under 12 must remain within an arm's length of a parent or guardian. Dogs are permitted but should be on a short leash on narrow sections of the route, and owners are asked to be mindful of children.
Registration fees vary by age group and by registration period. There are no refunds. Before November 1, 2026 registrations may be rolled over to 2027 for a fee of CA$25 or transferred to another participant for CA$10. After November 1, rollovers are not permitted; transfers remain available for CA$10. Package pickup is available at two locations and dates prior to the event. The event partners with the Calgary Food Bank and asks participants to bring one or more donation items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
