12k's of Christmas Community Run
The 12k's of Christmas Community Run is a free, in-person community run on December 5, 2026 at Country Hills Village Pond in Calgary, AB. The event is organized by Motivated In Motion Coaching with support from Loop Leisure Club and meets at the gazebo beside Sobeys and Woody's Taphouse.
Participants follow a 1.5 km loop around the pond. Runners and walkers may complete a single lap or repeat the loop up to a total of 12 km. A hot chocolate aid station will be set up in the gazebo and will be accessible each lap. Organizers will provide treats and Christmas prizes during the morning.
The event collects donations for the Calgary Food Bank; attendees are asked to bring a non perishable food item to support the local food bank. Organizers request RSVPs to help estimate hot chocolate quantities. Festive attire is encouraged, with examples noted such as Christmas sweaters, light up headbands, or Santa suits.
Distances
