London 5k runs at a glance: 132 5K races in 2026 and 2027, from the royal parks to the outer boroughs, with dates, venues and entry links. The capital has a 5K on offer most days of the week, never mind most weekends. Battersea Park, Victoria Park, Regent's Park and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park stage timed 5Ks on flat tarmac loops all year round, often on a weekday evening, and the Thames Path gives riverside races from Richmond down to Greenwich. The JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, run over two midweek evenings in Battersea Park each July, is the best-known office race in the country at a shade over 5.6 km, and December fills the parks with Santa suits.

What a London 5k looks like
The park series set the tone: a low entry fee, chip timing, a course of one or two laps and a crowd that mixes lunchtime club runners with Couch to 5K graduates on their first bib. Because the loops are flat and the fields are large, London is one of the easier places in Britain to run a road 5K personal best. On the big weekends the 5K is usually the Saturday warm-up to a Sunday half marathon or 10K, so check the race page for the day as well as the time.
