Ealing Half Marathon Weekend
The Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon Weekend is a community running event in West London that includes a half marathon, a 5K and a children's Mini Mile. The event is delivered by RaceNation Events Ltd in partnership with We Run Ealing and reports large spectator and volunteer involvement.
The event features fully road closed routes for the half marathon and the 5K. Lammas Park in Ealing is used as the start and finish area for the half marathon, and Walpole Park is mentioned as a finish location in participant accounts. Organisers report more than 30,000 spectators, around 700 volunteers and thousands of runners expected across the weekend.
The weekend also includes a regular monthly Ealing Mile held in Lammas Park, described as a traffic-free one mile course open to people aged 4 and above with prior registration. Since its inception the weekend has raised over £3.5 Million for charity and works with partners such as Meadow House Hospice, ShootingStar Children’s Hospice and CAPE.
