Event overview
The Ealing Half Marathon is a road-closed half marathon held in Ealing, West London, with the race village and start at Walpole Park, Ealing W5 5EQ. The event is organised as part of a weekend of races that also includes a 5k and a children’s Mini Mile. The organisers expect up to 7,000 runners, thousands of spectators and hundreds of volunteers. The race aims to return any surplus to local community projects.

Race and course details
The 13.1 mile course passes through Montpelier, Pitshanger, Central Ealing and Hanwell before returning to Walpole Park via Uxbridge Road. The route uses full road closures with mile markers and 5k markers on course. Chip timing is used with an integral BibTag chip. Pace areas and official pacers will be in place. A sweeper vehicle and tail runners operate; the official completion cutoff for the closed course is three hours as set by the local authority.
Logistics, support and sustainability
Water is provided at three official stations at about miles 4, 6 and 9 and after the finish, using 200 ml recycled PET1 bottles; a permanent refill fountain is available in Lammas Park near the start. Baggage storage accepts small bags up to 40 x 30 x 10 cm. Finishers receive a commemorative wooden medal; adult finisher T-shirts are not supplied and no paper goodie bags are given. Photos are provided by a professional race photographer and are normally available within 24-48 hours. Registration typically sells out.
