Ealing Half Marathon
Ealing Half Marathon is a fully road closed half marathon centred on Walpole Park in Ealing, West London. The event uses a 13.1 mile course that passes through Montpelier, Pitshanger, Central Ealing and Hanwell before returning to Walpole Park via Uxbridge Road. Organisers expect several thousand runners, plus spectators and volunteers.
The route is marked with mile and 5k markers and is planned in conjunction with local transport and emergency services to operate road closures along the course. Chip timing is used and pace groups are provided by an experienced pacing team. The official cut off to complete the course is three hours; tail runners and a sweeper vehicle follow the field and participants passed by the tail runners may be required to move to the pavement and will no longer have full course support or a guaranteed recorded finish time.
Sustainability measures include recycled and recyclable 200ml PET1 water bottles at three official water stations (around miles 4, 6 and 9), a permanent public water fountain near the start, recycled wooden finisher medals, no adult finisher t-shirts and reduced single‑use items at the finish. Race packs and bibs are collection only; baggage storage is available for small bags only (maximum 40cm x 30cm x 10cm). Participants must be at least 17 years old on race day.
A children’s Ealing Mini Mile is held on the Saturday before the half marathon and an Ealing Feeling 5k takes place on the same day as the half marathon. Race photos are normally available 24 to 48 hours after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
