Event overview
The Ealing Half Marathon is a road-closed half marathon held in Ealing, West London, with race village and start in Walpole Park, Ealing W5 5EQ. The event is scheduled for Sunday 27th September 2026 and is described as West London’s biggest running event. Organisers expect up to 7,000 runners, supported by thousands of spectators and hundreds of volunteers. The race has been voted the UK’s number one half marathon for three years in a row and allocates surplus funds to local community projects. Headline charity partners include Macmillan Cancer Support, Meadow House Hospice and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

The 13.1 mile course passes through Montpelier, Pitshanger, Central Ealing and Hanwell before returning to Walpole Park via Uxbridge Road. The route is fully road closed and marked with mile and 5k markers. Chip timing is used and pacers from Xempo will lead pace groups. There is an official cut-off of three hours; tail runners and a sweeper vehicle follow the course. Race packs and bibs are collection only and bibs do not carry printed names. Baggage storage is available for small bags (maximum 40 x 30 x 10 cm). Water is provided in 200 ml recycled PET1 bottles at about miles 4, 6 and 9 and after the finish; a public refill fountain is installed nearby in Lammas Park.
