October 2026
Walkers can choose a 5K or 1 Mile family fun walk through Sam Peden Community Park in New Albany alongside the running races. Event includes tie dye, face painting, food trucks and family friendly games.

Walkers follow the 4 km Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park, starting at Hogan's Fountain (Stegner Pavilion) on park roads and trails. Parking is very limited so carpool or park elsewhere on the loop and walk. A virtual 4k option is available.
May 2027
The 5K walk starts on Park View Ave and finishes at the Mount Washington Sports Complex, mostly on relatively flat roads with a loop on the park walking path. It is stroller friendly and walkers start behind competitive racers.
