Event Overview
The Tails & Tatas Breast Cancer Awareness 5k Run/Walk is a hybrid event, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation. It takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
Event Details
The in-person 5k run/walk starts and finishes at the Swope Toyota dealership. The course proceeds through Freeman Lake Park. The event is dog-friendly. There is also a 1 Mile fun run for participants aged 12 and under. The event offers a virtual option for the 5k distance.
Awards
For the in-person 5k, awards are presented to the top three overall male and female runners. For the 1-mile fun run, awards are given to the first, second, and third place male and female runners. All other finishers in the 1-mile event receive a participation medal.
Additional Activities
A costume contest for dogs is held 30 minutes before the start of the run/walk. There are three categories: cutest dog, best costume, and dog/owner look-alike.
Beneficiary
All event funds are donated to the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin, continuing a fundraising tradition from past events.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available on the Thursday and Friday before the event at Pet Supplies Plus and Swope Toyota in Elizabethtown, as well as on race morning at Swope Toyota. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
