Mothers Day Flower Fun Run
The Mothers Day Flower Fun Run is held in Ottawa at Dows Lake as an official Canadian Tulip Festival event. The course passes through extensive tulip displays that form part of the festival, which features over 300,000 tulips. The event offers a scenic, closed run course with an easily navigable route, making it a practical option for newer runners.
Race options include:
- 1K kids run with a medal
- 5K run with both a timed competitive start and a run/walk option
Included with registration are a personalized race bib, professional timing, on-course nutrition, race photography, podium prizes for the top three male, female, and non-binary athletes in the 5K, and post-race snacks. Photos are published within 24 hours and results pages show individual placements and tagged photos. The 5K follows a 2.5K loop completed twice; a Strava file is available for course details and elevation.
The event is limited to 600 participants. There is a shirt order deadline on March 29 and an online registration deadline on May 4. Refunds are available only if cancellation insurance was purchased.
