Grit & Grind Trail Race: Camp Fortune Edition
The Grit & Grind Trail Race takes place at Camp Fortune in Gatineau Park on Sunday September 6, 2026. The event uses singletrack and mixed terrain with sustained climbs and technical descents.
Distances:
- 20 km: two loops featuring steep climbs, flowing singletrack and technical descents.
- 10 km: mixed terrain with rolling climbs, runnable sections and technical bits.
- 5 km: shorter course with quick climbs, sharp turns and technical trail sections.
- 2 km: kids race with gentle hills and wider trails for young runners.
The 20 km distance is new for 2026 and is registered as a UTMB Index race in the 20 km category. Registration includes a commemorative medal unless the Green Bib option is chosen, a personalized race bib for registrations before August 27, chip timing, and post-race snacks and beverages. Optional commemorative items include a technical race shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger.
The Green Bib option directs a portion of fees to Sauvetage Bénévole Outaouais Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue, a volunteer search and rescue charity serving the Outaouais and eastern Ontario. Routes are subject to change. Headphones and earbuds are not permitted on course and the event is not suitable for strollers or mobility devices.
