About the race
The foundation's annual running event takes place on 11/15/2026 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. It is held in conjunction with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims and aims to honor those who have been killed or seriously injured in road traffic crashes while recognizing first responders and road safety advocates.
Event options include multiple race formats and a virtual option:
- 5K (professionally timed)
- 10K (professionally timed)
- Kids Fun Run
- Virtual race
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers. A First Responders Cup is presented to the largest registered first responder agency. The first 100 registered participants are guaranteed a commemorative race medal. Registration fees listed for the events include a $30 fee for the 5K and 10K, a $35 fee for the virtual race, and no fee for the Kids Fun Run.
The foundation's mission is to reduce traffic incidents through prevention and intervention programs, to increase traffic education, and to emphasize personal accountability. The event also features a Community Safety Festival with family friendly activities, safety education, and community partners focused on road safety and support for victims and survivors.
