The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs is a community 5K event that honors the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and supports first responders and military service members. The distance is 5K (approximately 3.1 miles) and participants may run or walk in person or take part virtually.
The event includes multiple registration categories with varying fees for adults, youth, children, first responders, military, virtual participants, and certain organizational entries. Some categories offer free registration for specific groups. Day of registration is available on site using a QR code and carries an increased rate.
Packet pickup is offered on the days before the event at PGA TOUR SUPERSTORE in Altamonte Springs and there is also pickup available at the race venue on the morning of the event. Parking is available at the Altamonte mall parking lot. Water stations are placed along the course and at the start and finish area.
Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Pets are not allowed at the event site due to a city ordinance. Refunds are not provided, but registration transfers are permitted if completed before Thursday, September 10. Age group awards are distributed at an on-site Awards Tent using posted QR codes.
