Event overview
The Wolfson Children's Challenge is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. The event is the 17th annual edition and is based at the Winston YMCA, 221 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville FL 32202. Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run No Shirt
The 5K route crosses the Acosta and Fuller Warren Bridges and runs along the St. Johns River. The course passes the hospital front entrance, which is highlighted as a Mission Moment where patients and staff watch from windows.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the days before the event: Thursday, January 29 at Subaru of Jacksonville, and Friday, January 30 at the Winston YMCA. Race day packet pickup is available at the event. Parking options listed near the start area include Haskel Parking Lot (111 Riverside Ave), the FIS garage first floor (323 Riverside Ave), and Black Knight Financial lot (532 Riverside Ave). The Dunkin’ Donuts Cruiser will be onsite for food.
Registration prices are shown on the event page; prices increase over time and some events have different deadlines. Day-of registration is available at the registration tent for the 5K and the 1-mile fun run.
Awards and teams
Overall awards will be given to the top three men and top three women. Age group awards cover ranges from 0-14 up to 70 plus. Team awards use the top five times per team, require at least two female times, and will recognize the largest team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
