UF Health Jacksonville Turkey Trot 5K
The UF Health Jacksonville Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving running event held in Atlantic Beach, Florida. The 2025 edition is the 11th annual race and includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Entry fees vary by date for the 5K with the one mile remaining at the same fee. Through September 30 the 5K fee is $40 and the one mile fee is $30. From October 1 to November 14 the 5K fee is $45 and the one mile fee is $30. Beginning November 15 and on race day the 5K fee is $50 and the one mile fee is $30. Fees shown include server fees. Each entrant receives a custom long sleeve shirt with registration, subject to availability. No refunds are offered.
Packet pickup is available on the days before the race at One Ocean Resort and Spa in Atlantic Beach with parking in the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn lot. Race day packet pickup will be at One Ocean Resort and Spa in the Solaria Room.
The 5K includes overall awards for male and female finishers, masters awards for competitors over 40, grand masters awards for competitors over 50, and age group awards for both sexes across standard age brackets from 10 and under through 80 and over. Additional recognitions include largest team by registration, team raising the most donations, and a costume contest.
Proceeds support UF Health Jacksonville programs for traumatic brain injury care and rehabilitation, including patient housing and transportation, equine therapy programming, trauma prevention education, purchase of medical equipment, and short term support for local brain injury services.
