Wave 2 Wine 5K
The Wave 2 Wine 5K is an annual event held in Pensacola Beach and Gulf Breeze, Florida. This point-to-point race allows participants to register for either a run or a competitive walk over a distance of 5 km.
The course begins at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center and travels through the residential neighborhoods of Gulf Breeze. Participants cross the Bob Sikes Bridge before reaching the finish line located at the Sandshaker on Pensacola Beach Boulevard.
All registered runners and walkers receive a finisher's medal. The first 200 individuals to sign up receive a custom fully sublimated long-sleeve tech shirt, while other participants receive a shirt with non-guaranteed sizing. Awards are presented based on age group results, specifically in five-year increments for runners and ten-year increments for walkers.
Post-race activities take place at the finish area, featuring refreshments including beer and wine at the Sandshaker. Packet pick-up is organized at Fleet Feet Pensacola on the Friday prior to the event, as well as at the finish location on the morning of the race.
