Pensacola Beach Turkey Trot (Trot for Thought 2025)
The Pensacola Beach Turkey Trot is an annual running event held on Thanksgiving Day in Pensacola Beach, Florida. The event is a 5k road run that raises funds for brain cancer research and supports the Preston Robert Tisch Tumor Center at Duke University. It regularly attracts more than 1,000 participants from across the United States.
The event offers multiple activities on race day and a separate kids run. A costume contest is part of the day and prizes have included medals and cups. Packet and T-shirt pickup is scheduled on the days before the race at Laguna’s Beach Bar and Grill, with same day pickup available at the Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach. T-shirts for the 5k are limited to the first 1,500 registered runners and the Turkey Dash shirts are limited to the first 100 children.
