The Last Mile Sunset 5k Run/Walk
The Last Mile Sunset 5k Run/Walk is a family annual memorial event held in Downtown Pensacola at Seville Quarter, 130 E Government St. The event includes a 5K run and a 5K walk on a route that passes several downtown sights favored by the person being honored. It takes place on November 22, 2026.
The Last Mile organization states a mission to help develop, improve, and save lives by bringing awareness to safer streets and youth programs in the community. The run was established after a runner was killed while running on November 21, 2016 in Gulf Breeze, FL, and gatherings serve as a remembrance of that person and an opportunity for family and friends to come together.
An after party follows the run and walk, with booths from sponsors and benefactors, food and drinks, a silent auction, and awards. All proceeds benefit local organizations. The published registration fee for each event is $25. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
