Event Overview
The Vero Beach unite4answers event is organized by the Bobby Jones Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation to support awareness and research for Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, and related disorders. The event takes place at the Vero Beach Regional Airport and offers several participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk: A 5-kilometer chip-timed course through the airport grounds.
- 1 Mile Walk: A 1-mile untimed course for participants of all ages.
- Virtual 5K: A 5-kilometer remote option for those unable to attend in person.
- Kids' Run: A free race with prizes for children aged 8 and under.
Participant Amenities and Awards
Registrants for the 5K distance receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. While the 1-mile walk is donation-based and does not automatically include these items, participants in that category can receive a t-shirt by donating or raising a specific amount. The event includes an awards ceremony following the races. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, the top masters (40+) finishers, and the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 13 and under to 80 and over.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the day before the race at American Icon Brewery and on the afternoon of the event at the airport. The venue provides post-race refreshments for participants. Professional timing services are provided for all participants in the 5K race categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
