About the race
The Vero Beach Police Department Foundation Tactical event offers two public runs along the beachside at South Beach Park in Vero Beach, Florida. Distances include:

- 2 miles
Proceeds support the Vero Beach Police Department Foundation and fund equipment and resources for department officers and the Critical Response Team that are not covered by the department budget. Registration opens July 8, 2026 and closes November 20, 2026; listed entry fees are $40 for the 10K and $25 for the 2 Mile.
Race services and features listed by the organizer include a guaranteed Dri-Fit race shirt for the first 100 paid registrants, professional timing, a flat beachside course, a post-race awards ceremony, and a charity raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. Packet pickup is available at Runners Depot in Vero Beach on the Friday before the event. Awards are presented immediately following the race; categories include overall male and female champions for both distances, plus age-group awards: for the 10K top three in each five-year age group (14 & under through 70+), and for the 2 Mile top three in each ten-year age group (14 & under through 70+).
