Pelican Yacht Club Turkey Trot 5K - Fort Pierce, FL
The Pelican Yacht Club Turkey Trot is a 5K run scheduled for Thanksgiving morning in 2026. The event is the fourth annual edition and is intended to raise support for Jaycee Park. The Pelican Yacht Club opens its facilities to participants and will provide drinks and snacks after the run.
The course travels across South Hutchinson Island, passing through eclectic neighborhoods and reaching Ocean Boulevard. Runners also jog along the jetty before returning to the Pelican Yacht Club at 1120 Seaway Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34949, where the event finishes in time for Thanksgiving dinner preparations. The organizers state the field will be capped at 750 participants; the race sold out in the two previous years.
The Pelican Yacht Club is a private club located at the Fort Pierce Inlet, less than half a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. Founded in 1946, the club reports more than 300 members and offers boating, fishing and a calendar of social activities.
