Girls on the Run Treasure Coast 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Treasure Coast 5K Celebration is an end-of-season, noncompetitive 5K event that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. The course length is 5K (3.1 miles) and the event is scheduled for November 21, 2026 at the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie located at Westside Church in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
The event is intended for program participants, their running buddies, family, and community members. Registered Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole participants who complete the 5K receive a commemorative medal. Running buddies and community participants who register early may receive a T-shirt; same-day registration is limited and may not include a shirt. Program participants do not need to register separately through the public registration process. Non-program participants must register and sign the required liability waiver.
Safety and accessibility measures are in place: every participant must wear a race bib, an adult must supervise participants, designated accessible parking spots are available, and the council monitors the course and takes participant attendance on arrival. The event may be delayed or cancelled in severe weather. Volunteer roles support setup, check-in, course marshals, water and refreshment stations, and inspiration and cheer stations; volunteers who work closely with participants must complete a background check.
Vendors and council merchandise will be present at the event, and post-run refreshments are provided for 5K buddies and community participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
