Girls on the Run Treasure Coast 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Treasure Coast 5K Celebration is an end of season event held on November 21, 2026 at the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie located at Westside Church, 3361 S. Jenkins Road, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981. The event closes the season with a celebratory 5K course of 3.1 miles that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
This is a non competitive, celebratory event where participants may walk, run, roll, push or skip at their own pace. Every registered GOTR and Heart and Sole program participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal. Running Buddies and community participants can receive a T shirt and post run refreshments when registered early; same day registration is limited and shirts are not guaranteed. Program participants do not need to register for the 5K.
For safety, every participant must wear a race bib and an adult must be present for minors. The council monitors the course, takes participant attendance upon arrival, and maintains a safety plan that trains staff and volunteers to respond to incidents. The event site is accessible for people with disabilities and designated parking spots are available.
Volunteers support set up, check in, course marshals, water and cheer stations, inspiration stations, and refreshment assistance. Volunteers who work closely with participants must complete a background check. Registration includes liability waivers. Vendors and council merchandise are offered at the event.
