Pirate 5K & 10K at Merritt Island
The Pirate 5K & 10K is a local running event organized by US Road Running and held at Merritt Island, Florida. The event takes place on an asphalt course with the starting line situated near the venue's tennis courts. Facilities such as bathrooms are available in the pavilion located next to the starting line.
Participants can choose from two race distances:
- 5K (two loops of the course)
- 10K (four loops of the course)
The race route is designed as an out and back loop measuring approximately 1.56 miles per lap. Runners have a total course time limit of two hours to complete their chosen distance. All finishers receive a commemorative medal at the conclusion of the race.
Registration must be completed in advance through the designated online platform, as there is no registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted on-site, beginning 30 minutes before the race and finishing 10 minutes prior to the start.
