About the Event
The Seaside Stride Beach Trek Walk/Run is a community event, not a race, taking place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This is the third annual iteration of the event. It is part of the "Get Outdoors for Freedom" Spring & Summer Series, with a mission to raise awareness and funds to end sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
Course Details
The event offers two in-person trekking options, both starting and finishing at the Fish Lips Waterfront Bar & Grill:
- A 10-mile beach trek.
- A 20-mile beach trek.
Both courses are out-and-back routes along the beach, with options to move onto sidewalks. The 20-mile trek includes a repeated section with turnarounds at Hampton Inn and Jetty Park.
Participation and Registration
Registration includes an event t-shirt, a swag bag, light breakfast snacks before the trek, and a post-trek celebration with a free drink. A post-event lunch at the venue is encouraged. A training guide is referenced as being available. Participants are expected to physically prepare and are responsible for their own snacks and drinks during the trek. Fundraising by participants is encouraged.
Virtual 10-mile and 20-mile options are also available for participation.
Proceeds from the event benefit prevention, identification, and rehabilitation support for survivors of sexual exploitation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
