The Maine Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay is an organized race event in Portland, Maine. In-person races are scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026. Entry fees for in-person events range from $50 to $120. Virtual events are open from September 26 through October 12, 2026, and have a fee of $35.

Course and location
The in-person races use an out-and-back course that includes rolling hills and views of the Portland skyline, Back Cove, Casco Bay, and fall foliage. Both the marathon and the half marathon are USATF certified; the marathon is listed as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The start/finish area is along Back Cove near Baxter Boulevard, Portland, ME 04101.
Virtual event details
Virtual participants may complete their distance at any location during the open window, September 26 to October 12, 2026. Virtual results can be uploaded automatically via RaceJoy or submitted manually on the race results page; results are accepted only during the open window.
