The 11th Annual Savage Family Turkey Trot 5K (Run/Walk)
The event takes place on November 26, 2026 at Bug Light Park in South Portland, Maine. It is presented as a 5K run/walk with both pre-registration and same-day registration available.
Registration opens October 3, 2026 and closes November 25, 2026 at 00:01. The stated registration fee is $30.00. T-shirts are provided to those who register before November 17, 2026 at midnight. T-shirt pickup and same-day registration are available on race day.
Organizers operate solely with volunteers and direct 100 percent of event profits to programs for the children of South Portland. Since 2016 the event has donated over $120,000 to local causes. Contributions have supported a scholarship account at the South Portland Community Center, the South Portland Food Cupboard, the SoPo Skate Park, local soccer scholarships, shoe donations, and other community youth programs. Sponsorships are used to cover race costs so registration fees are applied to those community initiatives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
