Greely Hockey Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race
The event is an annual 5K road race held in Cumberland, Maine, with proceeds benefiting the Greely Hockey Boosters, a non-profit that supports the MSAD #51 girls and boys ice hockey programs.
The course is a 5K (3.1 miles), described as flat and residential, and is USATF certified (ME22004JK). The race starts on Main Street in front of Greely High School and finishes on the Greely track.
Registration opens on 2026-09-29. Registration is online only, requires individual registration, and there will be no day-of registration. The listed registration fee is $25.00. The first 150 registrants receive a t-shirt. Children age 8 and under may run at no cost; children who want timing and eligibility for a t-shirt must register.
Pre-registered participants may pick up bibs on the day before the race at Greely High School cafeteria or on race day at the Family Ice Center in Falmouth; packet pickup windows and check-in procedures are provided by the organizer. Runners who do not use packet pickup must check in on the morning of the race to receive a bib assignment.
Awards are given to overall male and female winners and to top finishers in these age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-80, and 80+. Overall winners receive a freshly baked pie donated by Toots in North Yarmouth.
Restrictions on the course include no dogs, no bikes, and no rollerblades; strollers are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
