Maine Lobster Festival Road Race, Fun Run and Walk
The event features timed road races and a children’s fun run on the streets of Rockland as part of the Maine Lobster Festival. The main offerings are:
- 10K road race
- 5K walk/run
- 1-mile kids fun run for participants up to age 12
More than 300 runners typically take part in the 10K and 5K races. Walkers are permitted in the 5K only. Both the 10K and 5K are timed events. The kids fun run is untimed; the first 75 children to cross the finish line receive a finisher medal and overall male and female winners are recognized.
The first 300 participants who pick up their race packet receive a t-shirt; shirt sizes are not guaranteed. All finishers of the 5K and 10K are presented with a finisher medal. Awards are given to top finishers across multiple age categories, with an awards presentation held at the finish line.
Registration details from the organizer include advance and in-person pricing for each distance, and advance registration opens on June 1. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
