Event details
The Blueberry Cove Half Marathon takes place on August 23, 2026, at Blueberry Cove 4-H Camp in Tenants Harbor, Maine. The event is a 13.1 miles road race. Registration is $100 and the field is capped at 250 runners and walkers; fees are non-refundable. All proceeds support UMaine Cooperative Extension 4-H Camp & Learning Centers at Tanglewood & Blueberry Cove.
Awards are given to first place males and females overall and in these age divisions: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. All participants receive finisher medals. Bib pick-up is available the day before in the afternoon and on race morning.
Course and logistics
The course is a circumnavigation of the lower St. George peninsula, starting and finishing at Blueberry Cove Camp. The route follows rural back roads with gentle hills and ocean views, and passes Port Clyde, Marshall Point Lighthouse, Drift Inn Beach, and other coastal points. Mile markers are placed for all 13 miles and water stations are located approximately every 2 miles. There are bathrooms at the start and finish and four additional porta-potty locations along the route; limited shower facilities are available at the camp.
Walkers may participate and will start with runners; walkers are not timed. Pets are not allowed except for service animals; baby strollers are permitted. Rustic on-site cabins and tent spaces are available for an additional fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
