About the race
The Blueberry Cove 13.1 is a charitable half marathon held on August 29, 2027, at Blueberry Cove 4-H Camp in Tenants Harbor, Maine. Registration is $100 and proceeds support UMaine Cooperative Extension 4-H Camp & Learning Centers at Tanglewood & Blueberry Cove. The field is capped at 250 runners and fees are non-refundable.
The course is 13.1 miles and follows rural back roads around the lower St. George peninsula. The route features ocean views, gentle hills, quiet coves, a fishing village at Port Clyde, Marshall Point Light House, Drift Inn Beach, and a return to Blueberry Cove Camp. Mile markers are present for all 13 miles and water stations are placed approximately every 2 miles. Finish times are recorded and all participants receive finisher medals.
Race amenities include a post-race buffet brunch, bathrooms at the start and finish, four additional porta-potty locations along the route, and limited shower facilities at the camp. Walkers may participate with runners; walkers are not timed and must check in before starting. Pets are not allowed except for service animals; baby strollers are permitted.
On-site lodging options at Blueberry Cove Camp include rustic bunk cabins and tent space with per-person fees and limited facilities; a pre-race dinner with chowder and other options is offered the evening before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
