Blueberry Cove Half Marathon
The Blueberry Cove Half Marathon is a fundraising race held on August 23, 2026, to support UMaine Cooperative Extension 4-H Camp & Learning Centers at Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove. Registration is $100; all proceeds go to the 4-H Camp and Learning Centers. Entry is limited to 250 runners and walkers and race fees are non-refundable.
The course is a 13.1 mile loop that circumnavigates the lower St. George peninsula with the start and finish at Blueberry Cove Camp in Tenants Harbor, ME. The route follows rural back roads and includes quiet coves, gentle hills and ocean views; it passes Port Clyde, Marshall Point Light, Drift Inn Beach and other coastal points.
Race features include mile markers for all 13 miles, water stations approximately every 2 miles, finish times, a post-race brunch, and finisher medals for all participants. Awards will be given to first place male and female overall and in these divisions: 18 and under, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus. Walkers are permitted and may start with runners or earlier if they have checked in, noting that not all water stops may be staffed early.
Pre-race bib pick-up is available the day before and on race morning. A pre-race chowder dinner with garden salad and blueberry pie is offered for a fee. Rustic on-site cabins and tent spaces are available for an additional fee and limited shower facilities are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
