Blueberry Cove Half Marathon
The Blueberry Cove Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile road race held at Blueberry Cove 4-H Camp in Tenants Harbor, Maine on August 23, 2026. It is the 15th annual running of this event and serves as a fundraiser for UMaine Cooperative Extension 4-H Camp & Learning Centers at Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove. Registration is $100 and fees are non-refundable due to limited space; the field is capped at 250 runners and walkers.
The course circumnavigates the lower St. George peninsula over rural back roads with gentle hills and multiple ocean views. The route passes Port Clyde, Marshall Point Lighthouse, Drift Inn Beach, and returns to Blueberry Cove. Mile markers appear for all 13 miles and hydration stations are set up approximately every two miles. Finish times are recorded and all participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are presented for 1st place male and female overall and in age divisions: 18 and under, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
Event amenities include bib pick-up on the day before and the morning of the race, a pre-race chowder dinner with vegetarian options, a post-race buffet brunch, porta-potties along the route, and limited shower facilities at the camp. Pets are not allowed except service animals; baby strollers are permitted. Parking is available at Blueberry Cove Camp and along one side of Harts Neck Road where allowed.
