Event overview
The Medal Madness event at Shamrock Park in Venice, FL includes three race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race start. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume contest, series points, and awards are part of the event offerings.
Course and location
Location: Shamrock Park, 3900 Shamrock Dr, Venice, FL 34293. The start is located on the path behind the Nature Center; bathrooms are located in the Nature Center. The courses use a mix of concrete and asphalt surfaces. The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course described as 3.11M, with the 5K doing the out-and-back once and the 10K twice. The Half Marathon uses an out-and-back course described as 3.28M and repeats that out-and-back four times. Course maps and additional race information are provided by the organizer.
