Event Overview
The Fools Run 5k – World's Okayest Run is a community athletic event held in Venice, Florida. Taking place at Legacy Park, the event offers a chip-timed course that participants can complete by running, walking, skipping, or riding in a stroller. Location and Logistics
The race is staged at Legacy Park near the train station, moved from previous beach locations due to local conditions. Finishers receive a medal, and food and drinks are provided for participants after the event. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option is available where race materials are mailed to the participant approximately two weeks after the live date.
Results and Awards
Participants receive their finishing times via text or email through the registration system. Recognition is provided for top finishers with awards created by Gulf Breeze Apparel. Packet pickup is scheduled on the days leading up to the race at a local storefront in Venice, as well as on the morning of the event at the park pavilion.
