Fools Run 5k - World's Okayest Run
Fools Run 5k - World's Okayest Run takes place on April 4, 2026 in Venice, FL at Legacy Park (395 E. Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34285). The event offers an in-person 5 km race, a VIRTUAL 5k option, and a special "FIRST 25" entry. Standard entry pricing is $35, youth (ages 1-14) pricing is $25, the virtual entry is $45, and the FIRST 25 entry is $50. The standard price increases after March 29, 2026. Virtual registration closes March 30, 2026 and the FIRST 25 registration closes March 6, 2026.
Event logistics and services
The in-person race will be chip timed. All finishers receive a finisher's medal. Food and drinks will be provided by Chick-fil-A Pelican Plaza. Packet pickup is available at Gulf Breeze Apparel, 606 Cypress Ave, Venice: Thursday 4/2 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Friday 4/3 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm; packets are also available race morning from 7:00 am to 7:45 am under the pavilion. Packets not picked up before the start of the race will be forfeited. Virtual participants will receive race swag by mail approximately two weeks after the live event.
