40th Annual Run for the Turtles
The 40th Annual Run for the Turtles takes place on Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida, on April 11–12, 2026. The event raises funds for the Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. A virtual participation option is available.

- 5K Manasota Track Club sanctioned run
Registration for the 1 Mile and the 5K includes a complimentary race t-shirt, access to a food station, and entry to a kids activities area. All participants in the 1 Mile Fun Run receive a finisher ribbon. The 5K is chip timed and sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club; awards are given to top finishers overall and to age group winners, including Masters categories.
Packet pickup is available on race day, with early pickup noted as to be determined. T-shirt sizes are provided from a limited inventory; virtual participants can expect shirts to be mailed after the in-person event. The event site is on the beach, and participants are advised to plan accordingly. Multiple water stations will be available and participants are asked to bring reusable water bottles to support the event's eco-friendly efforts.
