The Double Bridge Run is a road race event that includes multiple distances and a course linking downtown Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, and Pensacola Beach. The 15K course carries runners over two bridges, crossing Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound, and passes the historic district and Bayfront Parkway before reaching Pensacola Beach. The shorter options travel from Gulf Breeze to Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island.

Race logistics include electronic timing with disposable chips and net time scoring for age category awards. The 15K uses a corral start and enforces a 14 minute per mile pace requirement. Aid stations provide spring water, medical support, and portable toilets; the 15K has aid stations near the 2, 6, and 8 mile marks while the 5K has an aid station near the 2 mile mark. Gear bag check is offered at both start areas with clear bags provided at packet pickup; gear bags are transported to the finish area and are available for a limited time after the race. The course closes mid morning. RaceJoy live tracking is available for GPS progress alerts and remote cheering. Race rules specify no strollers, bikes, rollerblades, or dogs on course.
