  • 5K WALK

All finishers in the 15K and 5K receive a commemorative finisher medal. Participants in both races are provided a long-sleeve race shirt (while supplies last).

Course, logistics and rules

The 15K course crosses two bridges over Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound and runs from downtown Pensacola through the historic district and Bayfront Parkway, through Gulf Breeze, and onto Pensacola Beach. The 15K start is at Maritime Park / Blue Wahoos Stadium (301 W Main St., Pensacola). The 5K start is at 10 Daniel St., Gulf Breeze (adjacent to the Gulf Breeze High School football field). Both races finish at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk parking lot.

Both races use IPICO electronic timing with disposable bib chips and are scored by NET time; overall awards are based on gun time. The 15K uses a corral start and has a 14-minute-per-mile pace requirement. There are aid stations with water and medical support on course (15K at about the 2-, 6-, and 8-mile marks; 5K at about the 2-mile mark). Portable toilets and post-race amenities are provided at start and finish areas. Gear bag check is available at both start areas; participants must use the clear bag provided at packet pickup for transported gear. Strollers, bikes, rollerblades, and dogs are not allowed on either course.

Cash prizes are offered for the top five 15K finishers in men and women divisions ($750, $400, $200, $100, $50); cash winners are subject to drug testing. Age-group awards are given three deep in five-year groups for the 15K (starting at age 13) and in set groups for the 5K (starting at age 10).
