The Clay Veterans Day 5k is a community event held in Clay County, Florida, to celebrate and support veterans and their families. The race is open to everyone, and the course is not certified for professional competition. The event welcomes the use of strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers. Participants may register individually, and specific competitive categories are available for High School Track Teams and ROTC Teams, provided they have a minimum of four runners who start and finish the race together.

Race Logistics and Support

Registered participants receive a race bib, chip timing, and a finisher medal. For the first 250 registrants, a race t-shirt is included. Refreshments are provided for runners, and onsite parking is available at no cost. The event features an awards ceremony recognizing the fastest overall male and female runners across various age groups, ranging from 12 and younger to 70 and older. A separate award category is also established for the fastest male and female participants in the wheelchair race.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Veterans Council Clay County, Florida, Inc. These funds support advocacy efforts, communication programs, and the operation of the Clay Veterans Center, which provides services such as VetTech and support programs for veterans.
