Wine and Chocolate Run : San Marco 5K
The Wine and Chocolate Run is a 5K road race through historic San Marco that raises funds for the ongoing beautification of San Marco Square. The event includes a post-race wine and chocolate celebration in San Marco Square with red, white and sparkling wine options and chocolate treats from Peterbrooke.
Registrations include a moisture wicking running shirt, a wine tumbler and two pours of wine for participants of legal drinking age. Wine pours require the race bib and all wine must remain inside San Marco Square.
Entry fees vary by registration date and age group. Early registration rates are lower than late and race‑day rates. Fee categories include general adult, youth (13 and under) and senior (65 and over) pricing. Entry fees include server fees on the registration site and there are no refunds.
Packet pickup is available at selected 1st Place Sports locations on April 9 and April 10 with later pickup moved to the starting area on race day beginning at 3:30 PM. The event uses the Race Results Timing System; runners must cross the timing mats at the finish to be included in results.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers and a masters prize for first male and female masters (over 40). Custom plaques are awarded to the top three in multiple age groups. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course. Parking is limited.
