About the race
The Wine and Chocolate Run is a 5K held in historic San Marco, Jacksonville on April 10, 2027. The event benefits the ongoing beautification of San Marco Square and is presented with ASICS as the title sponsor.
The course starts on San Marco Boulevard at the east end of the square. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course and biking next to a runner can result in disqualification. Parking near the course is limited.
A post-run wine and chocolate party follows the race. Red, white and sparkling wine will be available and chocolate treats are provided by Peterbrooke. Each participant of legal drinking age receives two wine pours when presenting a race bib. All wine must remain inside San Marco Square.
Entry fees vary by registration date and by age category. Entry includes a moisture-wicking running shirt, a wine tumbler, and two wine pours for participants of legal drinking age. There are no refunds. Packet pickup is available on April 9 and April 10 at selected 1st Place Sports locations; packets are also available at the starting area on race day.
The race is timed using the Race Results Timing System and finishers must cross the timing mats to appear in the results. Prize money is awarded to top overall finishers and masters, and custom plaques are given to top finishers in multiple age groups. This race is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series.
