Event details

The Captain Chuck Cornett Navy Run is a road running event at NAS Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL, USA. The event offers two distances:

10K
5K

Participants must be authorized base MWR patrons to take part. Active duty, retirees, reservists, dependents and DOD civilians are designated as trusted agents and may sponsor unauthorized patrons in their vehicles. Each participant is responsible for their own base access.

Registration and logistics

Online registration is available with tiered fees by date and by category (military; DOD civilians and non-military). Fees increase after the early registration period and again near the event. Online registration closes on April 1. Late registration is available in the days before the race at NAS Jax Base Gym and on race day at the NEX Convenience Store parking lot.

Packet pickup is available at NAS Jax Base Gym the day before the race and at the NEX Convenience Store parking lot on race day. The first 300 registered participants will receive an event T-shirt.

Awards

For the 10K there are overall male and female winners and age-group awards for both sexes in standard 5-year bands from 19 and under up to 70 and up. The 5K has male and female age-group awards for "14 & under" and "15 and up." Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
